The Australian Forcibly Displaced Conference 2025 is providing scholarships for people to attend the conference.
The Queer Displacements Conference, held biannually since 2019, is the first and only event in the Asia-Pacific region that focuses on the intersectional challenges and solutions for LGBTIQA+ forcibly displaced people. It offers a unique platform to foreground the voices and lived experiences of LGBTIQA+ people, building awareness, solidarity, and alliances to achieve justice, protection, and sustainable solutions.
Scholarships will cover travel, accommodation and other costs associated with the conference, which is being organised by the Forcibly Displaced Peoples Network (FDPN).
When applying for a scholarship, you may mention that you are part of the International Rainbow Communities Tasmania (RCT Inc.) Inc. Forced Displacement Network, and that Julian Punch, AM OTL President - RCT Inc. is prepared to give you a reference.
